Apex Hotel Group operates a range of four-star establishments across the UK, with two of those being located in London.
Donau had previously worked with the Group, providing a range of different cleaning services.
This project was set to be a little different, however. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the group’s hotels were converted into temporary accommodation for key workers.
With the pandemic behind us, we were tasked with completing a programme of deep cleaning to bring the hotels back to their previous high standards. This expansive deep cleaning project encompassed a range of different services, from curtain to upholstery cleaning.
Working closely with the project management team and to strict timetables, we began returning the hotels to their former glory.
As soon as each floor was handed back to the hotel, we would collect the bedding and, once planned maintenance and redecoration of the rooms had taken place, return the bedding and clean the curtains, carpet and upholstery, ready for the rooms to be re-let to the general public.
In addition to the cleaning of the bedding, curtains, carpet and upholstery, we also carried out a deep cleaning and restoration of the hotel’s marble flooring.
Despite the unique challenges faced by both the Apex Hotel Group and Donau during this project, all of our work was completed on schedule and to our customary high standards.
Because of this, both the Apex London City and Apex London Wall hotels both reopened as planned and on schedule, and have continued to delight guests to this day.
